- Nursing Clinical Educator
- Tampa General Hospital (260002NJ) is the role focused on designing, planning, and managing education projects within Oncology Support Services under the supervision of the Department Manager. The educator aligns education goals with business needs using policies, procedures, professional guidelines, adult learning principles, and evidence-based practice.

The incumbent performs duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

• Designs learning and delivers education/training to facilitate organizational change.
• Measures and evaluates the impact of education and contributes to improvements in human performance.
• Coordinates unit orientation through preceptor selection and participates in orientee assessments.
• Facilitates completion of competency-based orientation tools and unit/department level competencies as needed.
• Facilitates preceptor development and supports completion of mandatory education initiatives, including creating new policies and implementing new products and other unit- or organization-wide initiatives.
• Provides bedside re-education as needed.
• Facilitates student activities on the unit and serves as liaison to faculty for unit-based training.
• Assists with clinical ladder activities (if applicable to department) and promotes national certification.
• Represents assigned departments/areas of coverage as subject matter expert when needed.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of educational initiatives on an ongoing basis.
• Responsible for registration and course scheduling and posting to the appropriate forum.
• Collaborates with the unit/department manager and ensures regulatory readiness.

This location will support both TGH Outpatient Center on Palm River Road and TGH Main campus.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
• Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida and three years related work experience required.
• MSN or Certification in specialty approved for the ANCC Magnet requirement. Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and distinctly.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Project, Publisher, and Front Page desired.

Oncology, infusion, and educator experience preferred.
