Job Title:

Travel Nursing Instructor – Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Region. Kaplan North America, the world leader in test preparation, is hiring Master’s prepared nurses to join our Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regional travel teaching team. In traveling to different locations across the United States to teach NCLEX preparation classes, this position offers an opportunity to impact future generations of nurses by helping them succeed on their NCLEX exam.

Primary locations serviced in this region include, but are not limited to, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia, and West Virginia. This is a PRN, travel-based role with opportunities to explore new cities and expand professional skills and network.

• Teach multiple in-person NCLEX preparation sessions at various locations throughout the year.
• Maintain a high energy level and engage students to ensure an excellent student experience.
• Effectively facilitate learning and learner development.
• Learn Kaplan’s methodology and strategies quickly.
• Facilitate active and ongoing classroom management.
• Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops and ongoing instructional meetings as required.
• Provide support through Kaplan Learning Integrated Coaching (KLIC) program as a separate, related role (KLIC Coach) via individualized guidance via email based on student progress through Kaplan materials.

• MSN or BSN with Master’s required.
• Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse.
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience.
• Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership skills.
• Travel required; lead time, locations and dates determined based on business needs and availability.
