Family Nurse Practitioner

Full‑time position located in Lee’s Summit, Missouri (Lee’s Summit – Independence Avenue). The role provides primary care to patients, utilizing both clinic visits and telehealth. The position supports a dynamic, integrated partner organization serving medically underserved communities, with the opportunity to work from home half of the week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
• Serve as resource for consultation and referral of providers from other disciplines.
• Ensure continuity of care with hospital admissions and specialty referrals.
• Promote wellness concepts and self‑responsibility for health.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient clinical problems and health care needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plans.
• Maintain high quality of care per accepted standards; participate in peer review.
• Prescribe or recommend drugs or other treatments such as physical therapy or related procedures.
• Maintain acceptable patient productivity numbers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Document all patient activity in EMR and submit office visit billing codes in compliance with CMS coding guidelines.
• Comply with Collaborative Practice Agreement requirements established by the Missouri Board of Nursing, Missouri Board of Healing Arts, and relevant state laws.

Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

• Master's degree from an approved graduate nursing program.
• Active Advanced Practice Nurse certification approved by the State of Missouri.
• Experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Responsible for oversight of subordinate clinical staff regarding delivery of care within scope of practice, including appropriate delegation within subordinates’ scope of practice.
