Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Manager Nursing and Patient Care Service for the Cardiac Transplant and Advanced Heart Failure Program

Shift: FT Days (M-F)

Job Description The Manager, Nursing and Patient Care Services supervises staff, provides clinical and technical expertise and engages in process improvements. Assists in the fiscal budgeting and management process for the department including billing and revenue management, payroll, purchasing and supply cost management. Performs work assignments as needed to provide coverage and to mentor or assist staff. Interviews, hires and develops team members with the goal of developing a highly effective work team.

Engages in talent retention strategies for the area(s) of responsibility. Must possess a strong clinical care knowledge base in area of expertise.

Certification/LicensureVA or Compact State Registered Nurse License (Required) in good standing

Experience

Clinical Practice - 3yrs required

Healthcare Management - 3yrs required.
