In this role you will use your nursing knowledge and expertise to be part of a team that provides surveillance and evaluation of health care providers to confirm compliance with Federal and State laws and rules related to the provision of nursing and health services.

Working as a Health Facility Evaluator you will:

+ Evaluate and conduct audits on health care providers to ensure a level of compliance with State and Federal laws and rules.

+ Compile information and document conclusions to determine the degree of regulation compliance.

+ Make periodic unannounced follow-up site visits to health care providers to assess compliance with previously issued correction orders.

** The position will be based out of the St. Paul office, with the majority of work time spent onsite performing surveillance of facilities predominately located in the metropolitan and surrounding area of Minnesota.*
* ** Occasional travel outside of the base region is expected to survey facilities located throughout the State of Minnesota. When not onsite, remaining follow-up work is performed by teleworking from your home office.*
* ** The majority of work hours are between 8:00 a.m.

- Friday, but candidates must be available for occasional weekend work and overnight travel. The need for weekend, overnight, or travel outside of the base region is determined by inspection workload. Reimbursement for authorized business expenses is provided according to bargaining unit guidelines.*
