Working as a Health Facility Evaluator you will:

+ Evaluate and conduct audits on health care providers to ensure a level of compliance with state and federal laws and rules.

+ Compile information and document conclusions to determine the degree of regulation compliance.

+ Make periodic unannounced follow-up visits to health care providers to assess compliance with previously issued correction orders.

** The position*
* ** will be based out of the St. Cloud or Duluth location with up to 75% of work time spent onsite performing surveillance of facilities predominately located in the surrounding region of Minnesota. Travel outside of the base region is required for this position, to survey facilities located throughout the state of Minnesota. When not onsite, remaining follow-up work is performed by teleworking from your home office.*
* ** This position is hybrid (involves both: time spent on-site performing surveillance and teleworking from your home office). Position will be filled for the following MDH district office location based on the top candidate:
St. Cloud or Duluth.*
* ** Most work hours are 8-hour days, and in between 6:00 am - 8:00 pm, Monday - Friday; candidates must be available for overnight travel and for occasional weekend work.*
* ** The need for weekend/overnight work, or travel outside of the base region is determined by inspection workload. Reimbursement for authorized business travel expenses is provided according to bargaining unit guidelines.*
* _In accordance with_  HR/LR Policy #1422 Telework ()  _, this position is eligible for up to 50% telework for applicants who live in Minnesota or in a bordering state within 50 miles of the assigned work location. Candidates residing outside of Minnesota or in a bordering state within 50 miles of the assigned work location at the time of application must be able to relocate to Minnesota within 30 days of their start date.
