Key Responsibilities
Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Monitor treatment progress and medication effectiveness
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing as clinically indicated
Integrated Behavioral Healthcare
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Support children, adolescents, and families through evidence-based psychiatric care
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
Patient Education & Wellness
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, diagnoses, treatment options, and wellness strategies
- Promote preventive care and healthy lifestyle interventions
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EHR system
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, Medicaid, and organizational requirements
Qualifications
Required
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution
- Active Florida Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license
- Valid DEA number
- Valid Medicaid Provider Number
- Experience using EHR and telehealth systems
Preferred
- 2+ years of experience as a PMHNP
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
