We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Phone Triage Nurse (LPN/RN) to join a healthcare practice in Sandy Springs. This position is primarily focused on telephone triage, patient communication, and providing timely, compassionate support to patients.

The nurse will initially work in the office to learn the practice's workflows, systems, and processes
. After successfully completing the training period, the practice may consider a remote arrangement for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who has strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and enjoys helping patients over the phone.

• Conduct telephone triage and assess patient concerns.
• Gather relevant patient information and determine appropriate next steps.
• Provide clear, accurate, and compassionate guidance to patients.
• Recognize concerns requiring provider evaluation or escalation.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and clinical staff.
• Document patient calls, assessments, recommendations, and follow-up instructions in the EMR.
• Coordinate appointments and follow-up care as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Learn and follow the practice's workflows, protocols, and procedures.
• Support the clinical team with additional responsibilities as needed.

• Current LPN or RN license in good standing.
• Previous nursing experience; phone triage or outpatient experience preferred.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Excellent clinical judgment and ability to recognize when escalation is necessary.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and computer technology.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, professional, and patient-focused.

• Compassionate and reassuring when speaking with patients.
• Calm and confident when handling patient concerns over the phone.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable learning new systems and office workflows.
• Able to work independently while communicating effectively with the care team.
• Adaptable and open to transitioning to remote work after successfully learning the practice's processes.
