Travel Nurse - Registered Nurse - Infusion

At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center
, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Main PACU provides post-operative care for patients recovering from complex surgeries performed in the Main OR of a Level 1 Trauma Center.

What You Will Do

Provide high-acuity care for patients recovering from trauma, cardiovascular, neurological, and other critical surgeries.

Manage Phase 1 and 2 recovery, ensuring safe emergence from anesthesia, stabilization, and transfer readiness.

Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and care teams to deliver advanced interventions and uphold perioperative standards.

Required:

Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.

Valid RN license in Connecticut.

The ideal candidate will have one or more years of PACU experience supporting inpatient surgical recovery.

Preferred:

Candidates with Emergency Room or ICU nurses with 2+ years of experience may be considered if they demonstrate expertise in ICU-level ventilated patient care, critical drips (e.g., vasopressors, sedatives), and strong assessment skills.

BLS/CPR certification (AHA or ARC)

ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire)

Proficiency in ASPAN standards and guidelines

Full-Time – 30 hours/week – Evening Shift

Three 10-hour shifts, every 3rd weekend, with variable start times.

On-call requirements is based on unit needs. On-call may be required to support off shifts, such as Nights.

Specialty pay available for experienced nurses with one or more years of RN experience

Hourly Staff RN position; pay range: $36.15 – $59.95/hour
