As an Associate Director of the Operating Room at Banner University Medical Center Tucson , you will bring your leadership experience and passion for health care to our department! This position will have responsibility for developing departmental leaders, supporting retention of staff, change management, and overall impacting departmental efficiencies.

You will have the opportunity to build relationships with various leaders and physicians with the goal of making an impact on our overall growth strategy.

You will be a leader that embraces change and can be an active and engaged change agent. You will become one of two Associate Director leaders overseeing these Level I Trauma service lines:
Cardiac, Trauma, Neuro Surgery, Ortho Trauma, Gynecology, General, Pediatrics, Plastics, Ortho and Same Day Surgery.

The preferred leadership candidate for this position will have prior experience working in the OR (both inpatient/outpatient), and as an experienced leader within the OR setting.

This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday
- Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Every other Friday, you are able to have a work-from-home opportunity! Some leadership call is required.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides managerial and clinical support to patients and staff. Uses depth and breadth of clinical management knowledge to ensure the provision of high quality, safe, and cost effective patient care. Demonstrates clinical expertise and oversees the leadership of clinical, financial, and personnel management of the assigned areas.

CORE FUNCTIONS

Manages and facilitates patient centered nursing care for designated patient populations by serving as a real-time clinical expert for unit staff and physicians for escalated problem-solving on patients, processes, and family issues. Manages the operations of the unit to ensure smooth and efficient patient care management and resource utilization.

Leads change by developing, implementing and evaluating quality and process improvement initiatives of the department in conjunction with the director. Seeks and utilizes input from staff and oversees change implementation. Ensures compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
