Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Health

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality home health care to patients throughout Howard and Carroll Counties, Maryland.

• Pay Rate: $53-$55/hr
• Weekly Hour Guarantee: 32 hours
• Coverage Area:
  Howard and Carroll Counties
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• On-Call Requirement:
  Yes — once weekly, Monday–Friday, approximately 4:30 PM–8:00 AM
• Mileage Reimbursement:
  Yes — mileage between patient visits, from the first patient to the last patient
• Dress Code:
  Navy blue scrubs

The Travel RN will provide skilled nursing services to patients in their homes while ensuring safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with physician orders and established home health standards.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Perform medication management and patient/caregiver education.
• Provide wound care and manage complex wounds, including wound vacs.
• Perform central line care and other skilled nursing procedures.
• Manage and care for Foley and suprapubic catheters, including insertion as appropriate.
• Perform venipuncture and other ordered nursing procedures.
• Provide PleurX catheter care as needed.
• Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Participate in the on-call rotation once per week, Monday through Friday, from approximately 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM.
• Travel between patient homes throughout Howard and Carroll Counties.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) certification/license.
• Previous home health nursing experience is required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a home-based environment.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned coverage area.

• PleurX catheter care
• Central line care
• Foley catheter insertion and management
• Suprapubic catheter insertion and management
• Advanced wound care
• Wound vac management
• Venipuncture
• Complex home health nursing
