Transport and Car Lease Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Manager to lead and oversee our transport and car leasing operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring efficient, compliant and cost-effective transport and logistics within NHS Dumfries & Galloway.

• Manage day-to-day transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery schedules
• Ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including Operator Licence standards
• Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, and defect reporting
• Lead, motivate, and support drivers and transport staff
• Monitor fleet performance, fuel usage, and operational costs
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and service delivery
• Maintain accurate transport records and reporting systems
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners to optimise logistics processes

• Proven experience in a Transport Manager or similar role
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
• Proficient in transport management systems and Microsoft Office

Having a CPC qualification is advantageous however consideration will be given to candidates who are able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and experiences at management level.
