The Role

Experienced Registered Nurse required for a secondment as Nurse Team Lead within the Inverclyde Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service (ADRS). The post holder will lead the Addiction Liaison Outreach Team, support service development, and drive implementation of addiction policies and recovery pathways.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
  • Fixed Term Until 31st March 2028, full-time (36 hours
  • Base location - Wellpark Centre
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Addiction Liaison Outreach Team.
  • Oversee service performance and staff management.
  • Implement national and local addiction policies, including MAT Standards.
  • Support delivery of the Acute Addiction Action Plan.
  • Lead clinical governance, quality improvement, workforce development, supervision, and compliance activities.
  • Work with hospitals, primary care, community services, and third-sector partners.
  • Support specialist assessment, intervention, outreach, and non-fatal overdose response services.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job
  • Registered Nurse with relevant leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of addiction services, clinical governance, and service improvement.
  • Knowledge of MAT Standards, recovery pathways, professional standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Experience of managing staff, monitoring performance, and working within multidisciplinary teams.
