Role Description The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will deliver direct mental health care, including conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing medication management and follow-up. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with psychiatrists and other behavioral health professionals, monitoring treatment progress, adjusting care plans as needed, and documenting all encounters in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. The role involves educating individuals and families about mental health conditions, treatments, and self-management strategies, while promoting recovery-oriented and culturally sensitive care.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Kissimmee, FL, with a combination of on-site visits and some work-from-home responsibilities to support continuity and accessibility of care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Mental Health Nursing and Psychiatric Care, including assessment, diagnosis support, and evidence-based interventions.
• Licensure and professional experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on Mental Health Care across diverse populations.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification (or eligibility), in accordance with Florida state requirements.
• Strong clinical judgment, thorough documentation skills, and familiarity with electronic health records and telehealth practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities, with a commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered, and non-discriminatory care.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing in-person and remote care while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Prior experience in outpatient psychiatry or behavioral health settings is preferred; bilingual proficiency is an asset.
