Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated LVN Nurse Consultant for a telephonic nursing position. This role involves reaching out to patients to ensure adherence to therapy prescriptions and addressing any issues they may encounter. You will engage with patients or caregivers, some of whom may reside in nursing homes, and communicate with charge nurses through both inbound and outbound calls.
ResponsibilitiesConduct an average of 50-70 calls per day to patients and caregivers.
Ensure patients are starting and adhering to their prescribed therapy.
Address any issues related to therapy adherence, including misdosing, allergic reactions, or double dosing.
Perform documentation with strict adherence to templates and undergo weekly and daily audits for accuracy.
Maintain a professional telephonic voice and demonstrate quick learning and initiative within the first 90 days.
Monitor for red flags such as missing multiple doses and report accordingly.
Receive and implement feedback from quality assurance and call audits.
LVN/LPN certification.
Experience in telephonic communication.
Strong computer literacy.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, utilization management, and case management.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McAllen, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
