Passionately Pets, a growing In-Home Pet Sitting and Dog Walking company, is seeking a Manager who has experience working in the pet care services industry who will be responsible for directing the day-to‑day operations in partnership with the rest of the Management Team. Salary is $50,000-$55,000 annually, based on experience.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:- Assist in managing employee relations while maintaining accountability, quality and safety within the pet sitting, dog walking and office departments.
- Help coordinate hiring needs for pet sitting, dog walking and office departments.
- Help to train and develop Team members, including constructive feedback as well as Performance Reviews.
- Enforce all policies, standards and procedures to provide an outstanding client experience.
- Facilitate all potential client communications and scheduling of consultations. Perform some consultations.
- Maintain & ensure Client Profile and Schedule integrity (documents, communication, Notes, etc).
- Help to create and manage staff schedules to ensure all assignments are covered.
- Cover midday Dog Walking and Vacation Pet Sitting assignments in the field whenever necessary.
- Follow the responsibilities detailed in the Job Description s for Midday Dog Walker & Vacation Pet Sitter when performing those duties and enforce all rules, protocols and instructions.
- Assist in managing the key control protocol.
- Capture content from visits, events and staff for social media use.
- Provide the highest level of customer service to our clients, including managing any customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Support the development of policies, forms and tools to increase company efficiency and risk management.
- Act as an ambassador for our brand at networking events, community pet events and all other opportunities as presented.
- Keep Management Team and Owner informed at all times.
- Is able to accommodate a very flexible and ever changing schedule.
- Is available to be on call days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Lives in Northern Virginia in our service area, preferably within 5 miles of 22301 (Del Ray).
- Is an intelligent, self‑starter who can work independently.
- Is reliable and punctual.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Has strong customer service background.
- Thrives at maintaining organization in a busy environment.
- Has an insured vehicle in good working order.
- Possesses the ability to multitask and strong organizational skills.
- Has space and the computer equipment required for a home office.
- Upholds a respectable appearance.
- Possesses proven management experience, preferably in the pet care services industry.
- Feels comfortable with pets of all types, sizes, breeds and personalities.
- Has knowledge or an interest in gaining knowledge in pet training, behavior, care and nutrition.
- Is willing to complete and pass a thorough criminal background check.
40-50 working hours per week. In addition, this position requires working On Call Manager shifts that include covering days, nights, weekends and holidays. Weekend On Call hours required 2x/month. Commitment of a minimum of 2 years is required, although longer is preferred.
