About the role, Your ImpactBaxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Seasonal Ecological Stewardship Crew member for our Naperville, Marengo, or Mokena, IL office. The Stewardship Crew member will complete all aspects of restoration work and have the opportunity to work directly with our senior ecologists. This seasonal position will be for the duration of May 2026 through October 2026. Most projects are within an hour of our offices.
Whatyour day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the job
Complete all aspects of restoration work which includes planting, seeding, erosion control methods, brush cutting, and herbicide application within stream, prairie, woodland restoration areas.
Help assist with construction projects like stream restoration and detention basin retrofits.
Complete work for municipalities, subdivisions, and private clients.
Education RequirementAssociates or Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources or related field.
Must be able to acquire herbicide license within 30 days of start date.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
Ability to move and carry 35-50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be willing to work outside.
CompensationThe pay range for this role is $21.00 to $26.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
