The NCWRC is the regulatory agency responsible for the enforcement of North Carolina’s fishing, hunting, trapping, and boating laws. In response, NCWRC has established a 10-year time-limited division to lead a comprehensive, multi-year effort focused on ecological stabilization, species recovery, and long-term resilience.

This division is responsible for the implementation of ecological restoration and infrastructure recovery across aquatic species, terrestrial species, habitat, genetics, infrastructure, and invasive species programs in close coordination with the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) and other partners.
