FYStudent Grounds Crew

The University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) Grounds is seeking student workers to help with campus maintenance. This will be a part‑time position, maximum of 20 hrs per week. UAS has one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation with grounds and landscaping that enhances our educational buildings, housing, pathways, and this wonderful setting in southeast Alaska. UAS dedicates planning, education and whole lot of hard work to keep our grounds and landscaping looking good.

• Planting and caring for ornamental trees, shrubs, annual and perennial flowers, lawn and hardscape maintenance, snow removal and sanding.
• Perform general labor and semi‑skilled duties when assisting tradesmen as directed.
• Co‑operate with and take direction from Grounds Lead Person and Landscape Superintendent.
• Assist with general campus beautification and safety tasks.

• Must be a University of Alaska student, enrolled and regularly attending six (6) or more credit hours and possess a 2.0 or better cumulative grade point average (CGPA).
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.
• No experience required.

This is a part‑time student position located on the Juneau campus. New hires will be placed on the UA Student Assistant 2 Salary Schedule, step 15 ($14.96/hour). This recruitment is open to undergraduate students only. This is a pooled position and applications are reviewed as needed. Submission of an application does not guarantee review or a job offer.
