Company Description

Figment Cottage Gardens specializes in transforming yards into botanical fairy tales through timeless cottage garden design. With a nature-centric approach, the company creates gardens that support local wildlife while delighting clients. Offerings range from native and formal cottage gardens to deer-resistant and wild cottage styles, tailored to each property and homeowner. Figment Cottage Gardens is dedicated to making homes more beautiful, inviting, and ecologically thoughtful.

Role Description

The Garden Designer role is a part-time remote position focused on creating thoughtful, cottage-inspired garden plans for residential clients. You will need to read a brief to develop garden concepts and produce detailed planting and layout plans. The Garden Designer will research appropriate plant varieties, consider wildlife-friendly and site-appropriate options, and ensure designs align with client goals such as native species use or deer resistance—sun/shade/wet sites etc.

The role also involves preparing visual presentations or sketches, collaborating with any on-site installation partners, and updating designs based on client feedback.
