SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT MANAGER — ASDI | KENT, WA
If you’re the person who can walk into a supplier’s facility, quickly assess what’s broken, and leave with a credible plan to fix it — this role was built for you. You’ll own ASDI’s supplier base from qualification to performance, with direct influence over sourcing strategy, commercial negotiations, and long-term supply chain resilience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO- Lead strategic sourcing for new and existing commodities — driving RFQs, cost analysis, negotiations, and supplier selection from start to finish
- Qualify and onboard new suppliers to support new product lines and capacity expansion, including capability assessments, audits, and business reviews
- Own supplier performance through scorecards, corrective actions, and improvement plans covering delivery, quality, cost, and responsiveness
- Maintain the Approved Vendor List in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and lead recovery efforts with underperforming legacy suppliers
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure supplier readiness for new designs, changes, and production requirements
- 5+ years of experience in supplier development, strategic sourcing, or supply chain engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of managing complex supplier relationships
- Hands‑on experience with ISO 9001 supplier requirements, audits, and documentation
- Ability to assess supplier capability, capacity, and technical competence in the field
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, supplier performance analytics, and MS Office
This role requires frequent supplier visits — front-loaded at roughly 60% travel during onboarding and qualification, settling to approximately 30% in steady state. Remote work is supported outside of travel.
COMPENSATION$115,000 – $145,000 annually, depending on experience
