Minimum: $69,764.00
- Maximum: $69,764.00 annually). Positions with a designated work location in New York City, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester Counties will receive a $4,000 annual downstate adjustment (pro-rated for part‑time positions).
- Coordinate Interstate Coordination Communication Record (ICCR) processes, involving frequent interactions with counterparts across the US and within New York State.
- Perform quality assurance to improve the completeness and accuracy of STI surveillance data, data reporting and management activities including maintaining operations guidance, supporting technical documentation, and contributing to the creation of data dictionaries for programmatic purposes.
- Support evaluation projects related to STI prevention/intervention.
- Support program metrics reporting and related projects.
- Contribute toward preparing system modifications in the Communicable Diseases Electronic Surveillance System (CDESS).
- Provide training and technical assistance.
- Oversee supervisory responsibilities.
- Represent the Office of Sexual Health and Epidemiology (OSHE) as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience coordinating program activities in a public health, health regulatory, or human services related program; or
- Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; or
- Six years of such experience.
- A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
- Master's degree in public health, public administration, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience working with state or federal program(s) focused on the prevention and surveillance of STIs, HIV, or communicable diseases.
- Experience working with confidential data.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), evidenced by regular and recent use of the programs.
- Some knowledge or experience with analytical software (SAS or R).
- At least one year of experience developing reports and drafting summary documents.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, evidenced by coordinating and maintaining frequent interactions with internal or external counterparts, facilitating information exchange, responding to inquiries, or supporting collaboration across teams.
Grant‑funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available. Travel up to 25% of the time will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states:
New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. This position will become eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of onsite and remote work, after a waiting period of approximately three months, subject to satisfactory job performance, management approval, and operational needs. HRI participates in the E‑Verify Program.
