The team you will be a part ofThe Quality Generalist team conducts internal quality controls concerning particular areas or company products to ensure they fulfill given quality procedures and norms. It monitors and records inconsistencies with quality procedures and norms and prepares quality analyses and recommends necessary quality procedure changes.
This Role In SummaryAs an Assembly Quality Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team of inspectors, technicians, and engineers to ensure the highest standards of product excellence. Your primary focus will involve managing quality control initiatives to address both internal and external customer feedback, performing regulatory audits, and spearheading continuous improvement efforts across product designs and manufacturing operations.
Your Responsibilities Will Include- Allocate team resources to respond to all quality control priorities to support daily production requirements in a 24-hour manufacturing facility
- Solve problems with product quality using root cause analysis and implementing countermeasures
- Coordinate engineering and technician activities across all shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays to complete critical quality control reaction plans including hold orders and reworks
- Direct QA Matrix leadership efforts to identify and prioritize critical losses, spearheading high-impact kaizens to eliminate root causes and overseeing Critical to Quality (CTQ) standards in alignment with Workplace Organization (WO) initiatives
- Lead the Quality Control continuous improvement activities, driving expansion of the problem solving methodology to all department team members
- Develop and deploy strategies to improve key performance indicators of entire department on a year-over-year basis, including Service Incident Rate, First Pass Yield, and Customer Assurance Lab PPM
- Lead quality control labs, performing all required testing to meet internal and external quality assurance requirements including all necessary documentation
- Support New Model Development – providing input in development stages and performing a proactive occurrence and release analysis to avoid any regressions
- Bachelor’s Degree, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5 years of quality, engineering, or operations leadership experience in a manufacturing facility
- Quality Control Leadership Experience
- OpEx, Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar statistical analysis certifications
- PFMEA, Control Plan, and CPM experience
- World Class Manufacturing leadership including Quality Control and Focused Improvement Pillars
