Quality Control Inspector II (Wayne, NJ)

Salary: $24 – $26 per hour (10% shift differential for second shift)
Job OverviewThis position is responsible for various aspects of Quality Control supporting the Cardiac Assist business area.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties- Perform visual and dimensional inspections, during the daily floor audits as per applicable procedures.
- Perform daily floor audits for all lines that are up and running.
- Perform Rack Inspections.
- Perform Inflate/deflate functional testing on IABs.
- Perform APA and Catheter extender functional testing.
- Perform Force from retainer and Force thru Sheath test on the 7
Fr and 8
Fr products. - Support manufacturing with rework executions and rework verifications for non-conforming materials.
- Document test and inspection results following good documentation practices.
- Train new Inspectors in the Quality Control team.
- Support manufacturing and engineering with Product Development testing activities.
- Provide feedback for inspections procedures and forms that need updates.
- Perform Dilator Functional Testing on Insertion Kit Products.
- Perform 100% In-Process Leak Testing on Sensor and Non-Sensor Materials.
- Other related position related tasks as needed.
- Technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 3 years experience with production and/or quality control inspection/testing.
- A minimum of 3 years mechanical inspection.
- Medical Device experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Detail oriented.
- Working knowledge of sampling plan C=0.
- Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team setting, be flexible, and exhibit a willingness to learn/ take on new tasks.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office products or equivalent software application is preferred.
- Instron Experience with Bluehill software preferred.
- Ability to travel to Fairfield location as needed.
