Job Description- Manage internal and external QA audit and survey activities, including surveillance of home office and project site activities to assess compliance with client, regulatory, and quality program requirements.
- Assure that appropriately trained, qualified, or certified personnel perform audit and surveillance activities.
- Evaluate the capability of suppliers to provide items or services in accordance with procurement document requirements and maintain the approved suppliers list.
- Coordinate surveillance activities at supplier facilities to assure appropriate quality assurance oversight.
- Review supplier procedures and personnel qualifications for compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Document, evaluate, and resolve issues within the corrective action program.
- Contribute to mitigation of significant quality risks and resolution of client complaints regarding quality issues.
- Maintain relationships with key internal and external Clients including Client Quality personnel.
Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work‑related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non‑degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time‑conscious and time‑effective manner.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
- Prior quality assurance and auditing experience in the nuclear industry.
- Ability to obtain NQA-1 Lead Auditor certification.
- Working knowledge of ASME NQA-1 and 10 CFR Part 21.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good written communication skills.
- Good leadership and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to advocate nuclear quality assurance principles.
Ability to collaborate with project management and quality personnel.
- Current NQA-1 Lead Auditor.
- Working knowledge of ASME BPVC Sections V and IX.
- Working knowledge of DOE Order 414.1.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025:2017.
