Director of Global Quality
Location:
Remote anywhere in the US. Preference for Newport News, VA HQ. Relocation option available.
Lead and unify global Quality Assurance and Control teams, driving consistent quality objectives across all products sourced and manufactured by the company, ensuring safety, compliance, and exceeding legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Champion the development and execution of a unified global quality strategy, aligning with Product Assurance and other key partners.
- Set and maintain quality standards, systems, and processes to ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and industry requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality teams and vendors.
- Collaborate with Product Assurance, Global Sourcing, Brand Leadership, Legal, and Product Development to support own brand product growth and mitigate risk.
- Facilitate cross‑functional teamwork to address product quality issues, recalls, and corrective actions.
- Oversee implementation of measurement and control systems, including audits, inspections, and vendor scorecards.
- Manage the global quality team: recruiting, training, developing, and inspiring high performance.
- Support and enforce corporate quality policies and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain KPIs and reporting systems to measure performance and drive improvement.
- Document findings, communicate results, and elevate issues as appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (CQE, CMQ/OE) preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in quality management with proven leadership in global environments.
- Experience building collaborative relationships across functions and geographies.
- Strong knowledge of global regulatory requirements for consumer and commercial products.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and technology‑driven quality management processes.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to operate in complex, fast‑paced environments and manage multiple priorities.

Monthly salary for salaried roles: $9,409.50 – $17,833.30, or hourly for other roles. Role eligible for bonus or incentive plan.
