OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a Quality Inspector III to directly support site manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles, and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality.
JOB TYPEFull-time
RESPONSIBILITIES- Use measuring devices such as Coordinate Measuring Machines, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and hardness testers.
- Read and interpret blueprints and solid models.
- Visual inspection of product according to customer requirements.
- Perform first piece, in‑process and final inspection.
- Document inspection results by completing required reports/logs.
- Identify and quarantine all non‑conforming product.
- Generate and summarize non‑conforming reports for discrepant products.
- Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and address issues that may require repair.
- Inspect and approve incoming materials when needed by confirming they meet specifications.
- Attend department meetings as required.
- Inspect and release products for shipping by ensuring proper documentation or certifications are provided as outlined by customer requirements.
- Assist with calibration of measuring equipment.
- Collaborate with the team for corrective action in reaction to customer complaints, vendor issues and internal process failures.
- Participate in internal process audits including dimensional workmanship and documentation verification.
- Complete PPAP and 1st article documentation development and processing.
- Lead and train Level I and II inspectors as needed to increase performance.
- 5 or more years of hands‑on inspection experience in an AS9100, CNC machining environment.
- Thorough understanding of GD&T.
- Experience with PC‑DMIS and Solid Works a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- High school diploma.
- Associate degree in a related field preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, color, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
