Senior Quality Manager – Quality Department
Provide direction and lead the Quality department and personnel to assure the Quality Management System (QMS) is adequate to prevent non‑conforming material from reaching assembly and non‑conforming finished product from reaching the customer. Lead strategy, governance, and execution of QMS across product design, manufacturing, and supplier management, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100 and driving a zero‑defect culture focused on reliability engineering, corrective actions, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the human resources assigned to the Quality department to achieve maximum performance while producing quality product at a minimum cost.
- Monitor the quality performance of new and existing processes and products within the Kennesaw site, including product families such as Cargo, mutliflex, E2, E3, and Dixel related products.
- Assure correct and timely disposition of materials identified as discrepant in the manufacturing or inspection system.
- Manage customer escalations, audits, and performance metrics, ensuring product quality aligns with requirements.
- Communicate with customers when corrective and preventive actions are required.
- Champion Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and PFMEA to drive process improvements and yield enhancements.
- Monitor and audit suppliers, driving quality improvements in raw materials and components.
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of quality systems, including ISO 9000.
- Promote quality awareness among all company employees.
- Ensure systems conform to divisional policies and directives.
- Lead or facilitate the corrective and preventive action process for non‑conformances returned by customers through RMA.
- Develop and maintain the plant’s Quality Management Systems to demonstrate best‑in‑class performance.
- Coordinate the recovery of costs associated with reworking or sorting supplier non‑conforming material.
- Maintain timely communication with sales, product management, engineering, and customers to resolve and document resolution of issues.
- Implement statistical techniques for problem‑solving and publish plant data in dashboards to show progress versus KPIs.
- Actively participate in new product development to ensure key quality characteristics are incorporated.
- Required
- 5+ years of Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in 8D Problem Solving, RCCM, and risk assessment.
- Current or ability to obtain Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Knowledge of business management processes.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Preferred
- Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
