IT QA Tester / Automation
While this is a remote position, the successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of a Fed Ex Freight location within the continental US.
Position OverviewResponsible for working with other IT teams, architects, and business partners to help evaluate best practices in software development.
Essential Functions- Works with leadership within a specific or across multiple technology areas to complete root cause analysis.
- Creates design solutions, configurations, and performs quality assurance practices.
- Designs solutions and configurations to perform quality assurance activities.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to IT teams.
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent work experience plus five (5) years of experience in information technology or engineering environment
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management.
- Knowledge of software development and quality assurance practices.
- Knowledge of hardware, software, and network.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to mentor, coach and as a knowledge resource to other employees.
- Some travel required.
- Hours may vary due to operational need.
Experience testing user stories within Agile environments, including validating functionality against defined acceptance criteria. Proficiency working with Salesforce (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud), including configuration, troubleshooting, or basic administration. Strong ability to create, refine, and validate acceptance criteria to ensure clear, testable requirements. Hands‑on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), including participation in sprint ceremonies and backlog grooming. Familiarity with test planning, test case creation, and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure Dev Ops).
Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate implementation of requirements. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail in identifying gaps or inconsistencies in requirements. Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing and ensuring business readiness. Understanding of end‑to‑end system workflows and integration points within enterprise applications. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.

Pay Range: $83,799.00 - $ per year
