Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in STEM
- Proficient in Blueprint Reading and First Article Inspection (FAI)
- Interpretation of Engineering Process Specifications
- Background in verification of mechanical methods for complex machined parts and assemblies
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Knowledgeable level RCCA ensuring effectiveness of CA plans
- Knowledgeable in surveillance of QMS/manufacturing processes
- Must be within a reasonable driving distance to LM assigned suppliers as defined in agreement with manager
Supplier Quality Engineer Staff. This is a deployed position in the Greater Los Angeles Area working primarily in the Long Beach area at various LM supplier companies. Remote work is possible provided the employee is within a reasonable driving distance to LM assigned suppliers as defined in agreement with manager.
- The supplier is located in Santa Clarita.
- Responsible for achieving total quality performance across multiple sites for strategic suppliers that produce major airframe and systems components.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, inspection methods, tooling, AS9100, AS9102, Six Sigma, PDCA, PFMEA, Mistake Proofing and Gap Analysis.
- Application of root cause analysis, Cause Mapping, Cause & Effect diagrams, Pick Charts, and structured RCCA for effective corrective action.
- Lead suppliers through development and execution of plans that ensure a long‑term flow of defect‑free products in support of LM Aero production.
- Accountable for collaborating with functional organizations and leadership at supplier sites and at LM Aero to resolve technical and contractual issues, and for ensuring supplier performance aligns with quality goals while sustaining production delivery requirements.
- Must be a US Citizen. This position supports a facility that requires special access.

Part‑time Remote Telework:
The selected employee will work part of the schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
