Job Title

Supervisor, Manheim Mobile Inspections — Cox Automotive, USA

Location & Travel

Flexible remote work option but must reside in the specified city, state, or region. Estimated travel: 25% of the time.

Compensation

Base salary range: $61,100.00 – $91,700.00. Additional compensation may include incentive programs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage productivity and quality of a team of Mobile Inspectors (10–15+) and partner closely with Dispatch and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Ensure inspectors adhere to established inspection processes and document required disclosures and photos.
  • Monitor inspection quality via digital and in‑person audits, arbitration reviews, and provide coaching, corrective actions or discipline when necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners, including Sales, Auction and Remote Dealer Services teams.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and provide ongoing support and training to Mobile Inspectors.
  • Provide or coordinate skill‑based and inspection‑focused training (inspection app, eLearning, field training).
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and floorplan audits as needed.
  • Review work volumes, staffing levels, and team performance against KPIs and LDM metrics; implement tactical plans.
  • Coach, develop, and empower team members to create a cohesive environment.
  • Procure, distribute, and track company equipment.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and enforce safety & health procedures.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews in coordination with the Mobile Inspection Manager.
  • Lead by example, champion Cox values, and ensure respectful treatment of all employees.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED plus 5+ years of relevant experience; one year of team‑leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in mobile inspections and/or floorplan audits preferred.
  • Previous body shop, mechanical, or estimating experience preferred.
  • General understanding of frame and body repairs and mechanical knowledge.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling & routing software, and vehicle inspection applications.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, analytical skills, and self‑motivation to drive others.
  • Excellent organizational, customer‑focused, proactive, and team‑oriented skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to set priorities, solve problems, and work with remote supervision.
  • Vision abilities (close, distance and depth perception).
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk for prolonged periods; bend, stoop, squat, kneel; lift up to 30lbs; lift and hold at least 10lbs at waist level.
  • Exposure to moderate noise, fumes, or odors acceptable.

  • Regular exposure to outside environmental conditions.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Travel within the region required.
