Location: St Johnsbury

The Water Quality Services Specialist plays a key role in supporting and advancing our water quality services. You’ll help implement ANSI/AAMI ST108 standards, manage water testing activities, contribute to compliance reporting, and provide both field and customer support. This position offers a unique blend of hands‑on technical work, client relationship management, and program coordination, providing a direct impact on public health and safety.

What You Bring:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water quality, healthcare compliance, or related technical field
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail in technical documentation
  • Solid work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Experience with water systems and water sampling procedures
  • Background working with laboratories and interpreting water quality test data
  • Customer service orientation with professional, personable communication style
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred
  • Knowledge of ANSI/AAMI ST108 and related standards (ST79, ASTM D1193, ISO 17025)
  • Experience with water treatment systems (RO, DI, distribution loops)
  • Background creating technical reports for compliance and customer review
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
  • Exposure to programming, database management, or process automation tools
  • Background in compliance documentation, quality assurance, or regulatory reporting
Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and maintain customer water quality sampling plans, reports, and other compliance documentation
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly water quality reports with corrective action tracking using service tickets
  • Conduct customer site visits for water sampling, system inspections, and technical consultations
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities
  • Train internal staff and subcontractors on water testing and sampling protocols
  • Participate in customer meetings to explain test results, review corrective actions, and provide compliance guidance
  • Support proposal preparation and validation planning for new customer engagements
  • Coordinate shipping and receipt of water sample kits Identify and collaborate with certified laboratories to ensure timely, compliant reporting
  • Manage testing consumables, testing equipment, and inventory required for water quality testing and sampling services
