We are seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM) who will be the driving force behind project quality from concept through completion. What You'll Do
As the QCM, you will be the on‑site authority for all things quality - ensuring every project meets contractual requirements, technical specifications, and industry best practices. You will:
* Develop and lead project Quality Control Plans to ensure success across assigned federal construction projects.
* Review and interpret complex technical documents, including contract specifications and architectural/engineering/mechanical/electrical drawings.
* Solve problems using data‑driven reasoning, analyzing variables and drawing sound conclusions.
* Review and approve submittals, manage RFIs, and maintain comprehensive Daily Activity Reports documenting site progress.
* Collaborate closely with client QA personnel, technical experts, and construction supervisors to ensure seamless communication and compliance.
* Lead meetings, deliver presentations, and coordinate problem‑solving sessions with authorities having jurisdiction and subject‑matter experts.
* Utilize QCS/RMS and Microsoft Office tools to manage data, prepare reports, and support project documentation.
* Implement USACE's Three‑Phase Quality Control Process and evaluate survey shots for grade and elevation.
* Mentor Quality Control Specialists and contribute to ongoing improvement of quality practices.
You'll play a key role in maintaining our culture of safety, accuracy, and professionalism while helping deliver projects that directly support government and military operations.
Leadership & Supervisory Responsibilities
Depending on the project complexity, you will:
* Manage the Project Quality Control Plan.
* Ensure contract requirements and standards are met.
What you Bring
Required Qualitifications
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field - or equivalent experience
* Minimum 5 years of construction quality control experience on federal projects
* Experience with USACE and/or NAVFAC construction projects
* Proven performance as a certified QC Specialist/Manager on federal construction work
* Current or renewable CQM‑C certification
* Ability to manage multiple design teams throughout Design‑Build phases
* Strong proficiency with USACE QCS or RMS platforms.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred:
* Valid OSHA 10/30 certification
* Valid First Aid/CPR certification
* Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The majority of the work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, involving interaction with individuals of diverse functions, personalities, and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
An individual will be required to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and repeat motions.
Light Work:
Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 15 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects is required.
