Amazon US Compliance Specialist

Location:

Remote – Mexico or South America (LATAM)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Amazon US Compliance Specialist to join our growing Compliance team. This role is responsible for supporting product compliance across Amazon Vendor Central and Seller Central, ensuring products meet US regulatory requirements, remain compliant, and stay active on the Amazon marketplace.

You will work closely with suppliers, third-party testing laboratories, and internal teams to manage product certifications, Amazon compliance requests, Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) submissions, and new product approvals. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has hands-on experience with Amazon's US compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities Amazon Marketplace Compliance
  • Manage compliance activities across Amazon Vendor Central and Seller Central.
  • Respond to Amazon product safety, compliance, restricted product, and listing suppression cases.
  • Coordinate ASIN reinstatements by gathering and submitting required documentation.
  • Support new product launches by ensuring compliance requirements are met before products go live.
  • Monitor account health and proactively identify compliance risks.
US Product Compliance
  • Review and maintain compliance documentation including CPCs, GCCs, Declarations of Conformity, test reports, FCC documentation, UL/ETL certificates, and other regulatory documents.
  • Research applicable US regulations and determine compliance requirements for new products.
  • Coordinate testing and certification with accredited third-party laboratories.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and internal tracking systems.
Amazon Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC)
  • Manage Amazon TIC submissions and verification activities.
  • Coordinate documentation for children's products, battery-powered products, electronics, and other regulated categories.
  • Work with Amazon-approved laboratories to resolve verification requests.
  • Monitor submission status and drive timely approvals.
Supplier & Laboratory Management
  • Communicate directly with overseas manufacturers to obtain compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with testing laboratories including Intertek, SGS, TÜV, UL, Bureau Veritas, and other certification bodies.
  • Track testing schedules, document requests, and certification timelines.
  • Escalate compliance risks that could impact product launches or marketplace availability.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years' experience supporting Amazon US (Vendor Central and/or Seller Central).
  • Experience managing Amazon compliance cases, product safety investigations, listing suppress ions, or ASIN reinstatements.
  • Experience with US consumer product compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon Seller and Vendor Central workflows.
  • Excellent written English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with more than one of the following is a plus:

  • Amazon Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC)
  • Children's Product Certificates (CPC) and General Certificates of Conformity (GCC)
  • CPSC, CPSIA and ASTM requirements
  • FCC, UL, ETL, NRTL and other US certification requirements
  • Battery and electronics compliance
  • Ability to assess new products and determine applicable US regulatory, testing, and certification requirements.
  • Experience defining compliance requirements during new product development, including identifying applicable standards, certifications, and documentation before product launch.
  • Working directly with third-party testing laboratories
  • Communicating with overseas manufacturers and suppliers
