Adag Group is seeking two experienced QA/QC Mechanical Engineers to join our team and support the delivery of a major data center project in Ohio.
The QA/QC Mechanical Engineer will provide mechanical quality surveillance and inspection for HVAC, piping, plumbing, and associated equipment throughout installation, testing, and final turnover.
The role will work closely with mechanical construction teams, contractors, vendors, quality, and commissioning teams to ensure systems are installed, tested, and documented in accordance with project requirements.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to multiple large-scale projects across North America and internationally. Our data center projects range from approximately 250 to 400 MW each

Mechanical Quality & Inspection
- Review mechanical Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, submittals, inspection requests, and test records.
- Inspect mechanical equipment, piping, supports, ductwork, insulation, cleanliness, and overall installation workmanship.
- Verify that mechanical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and applicable project standards.
- Monitor installation quality and identify deficiencies requiring correction.
- Witness pressure tests, flushing, cleaning, leak tests, and pre-functional checks as required.
- Verify that required inspections and tests are completed and properly documented.
- Review testing records and supporting documentation for completeness and traceability.
- Support quality readiness of mechanical systems for commissioning and turnover.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical construction, vendors, and commissioning teams throughout testing activities.
- Identify and document quality observations and deficiencies.
- Manage mechanical punch-list items and support their resolution with contractors.
- Support the issuance, tracking, and closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Verify that corrective actions have been properly implemented before closeout.
Escalate significant or recurring quality issues when required.
- Verify mechanical test packs and associated quality records.
- Review redlines, as-built documentation, and commissioning turnover records for completeness.
- Ensure required inspection and testing documentation is properly maintained and traceable.
- Support the completion of mechanical turnover documentation.
- Coordinate quality documentation requirements with construction, vendors, and commissioning teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical QA/QC on major construction or EPC projects.
- Experience with HVAC, hydronic piping, plumbing, testing, cleanliness, and turnover records.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical inspections, testing, quality documentation, and NCR management.
- Ability to review ITPs, inspection requests, test records, and mechanical quality documentation.
- Experience coordinating with mechanical construction teams, contractors, vendors, and commissioning teams.
- Data center or mission‑critical project experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
