Perpetua Resources is looking for a Quality Manager, that plays a critical role in ensuring all Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning activities meet project requirements, regulatory obligations, and industry quality standards. This position requires collaborating closely with project, engineering, construction, and contractor teams to promote a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and proactive risk management; ultimately driving quality performance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring safe, compliant, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities Quality Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) aligned with corporate and client standards
  • Provide leadership in establishing a strong quality culture across project teams and contractors
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters
Quality Assurance (QA)
  • Ensure compliance with project and relevant mining industry standards
  • Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, and work instructions
  • Conduct quality audits (internal and external) and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Monitor construction, installation, and commissioning activities to ensure adherence to the (PQMP)
  • Ensure inspection and testing activities are performed and documented appropriately
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely resolution
  • Verify material certifications, welding records, and testing documentation
Supplier & Contractor Quality Management
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier and contractor quality performance
  • Coordinate source inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and site acceptance tests (SAT)
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with project quality requirements
Risk & Compliance Management
  • Identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
  • Support project risk assessments and constructability reviews
Continuous Improvement
  • Track and analyze quality metrics and KPIs
  • Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Drive lessons learned initiatives and best practices across the project
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain complete and accurate quality documentation and records
  • Prepare quality reports for project leadership and stakeholders
  • Ensure turnover documentation and quality dossiers are complete for handover
Schedule & Logistics

The position, being a managerial role in nature, will split time between the project site and the Boise office with some remote work being available as well. The role’s primary focus will be on the site and a significant portion of time will be spent there. The specific split of on site and off site hours will be discussed with the candidate during the interview process.

Skills and Abilities

Certifications (Preferred)
  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • American Welding Society (AWS) inspection certification
  • Familiarity in ASTM Standards, IDEQ, GISTM, Idaho Dam Safety, and ASME
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of construction quality standards and systems
  • Familiarity with mining construction processes and equipment
  • Experience with document control systems and quality software tools
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts
Leadership & Behavioral Competencies
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical ability
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality excellence
  • Effective communication and influencing skills across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to work in remote or challenging site environments
Minimum Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mining, Mechanical, Civil, or related field) or equivalent experience required.
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in quality management within mining, heavy industry, or large-scale capital projects
  • Experience with large mining infrastructure projects (e.g., processing plants, tailings, conveyors, underground or open-pit operations)
  • Proficiency in MS Office computer software applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
