We're seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality strategy and test automation for key product areas at The Zebra. You'll own test infrastructure, mentor others, and embed quality practices throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Location

Our company headquarters are in Austin, TX, but our employees work remotely across the US. For folks who live around Austin, we offer the option to join us in our office or opt for a hybrid setup. Whether you prefer the structure of an office, the convenience of remote work, or a mix of both, we support what works best for you!

What You'll Do
  • Design and own automated test frameworks across functional, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Lead test strategy and planning for major product releases in collaboration with Engineering and Product
  • Mentor junior quality engineers and help elevate quality practices across the team
  • Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve test coverage and reliability
  • Track quality metrics, surface trends, and drive systemic improvements in defect prevention
  • Contribute to quality engineering standards and tooling decisions
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of quality engineering experience with deep expertise in test automation
  • Expert proficiency with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or Type Script
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops workflows
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, quality-first mindset

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $xx,xxx – $xx,xxx per year. The final salary amount will be determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, internal equity, and insights gained throughout the interview process.
