Quality Assurance Specialist - Aging & Disabilities

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday,between 8:00am-6:00pm,depending on program needs, 8 hours per day,Remote work eligible

Performs quality assurance related activities to monitor satisfaction of individuals who are receiving IDD services in Sedgwick County. Interacts with affiliates and consumers in the community and provides internal data management for the Quality Assurance (QA) department.

Data Management
  • Record satisfaction survey outcomes received during annual functional assessments
  • Select, assign and monitor deadlines of quarterly reviews to the local Quality Assurance Committee
  • Record Quality Assurance Committee scoring data for preparation of trend reports
  • Enter critical incidents of consumers pertaining to police involvement, hospitalizations, and cases of abuse, neglect, or exploitation in Quality Consult database
  • Complete quarterly trend reports based on critical incident reporting
  • Monitor mandatory training and create membership badges of Quality Assurance Committee members
Continuous Quality Improvement
  • Interact with consumers and affiliate staff members when completing Community Service Provider day and residential site visits
  • Document and report site visit outcomes
  • Communicate with consumers to evaluate service dissatisfaction; report outcomes to appropriate QA team member
  • Report to the appropriate QA team member any identified quality assurance related concern
Contract Compliance
  • Monitor service expectations during site visits to Day program affiliate locations and Residential program affiliate locations
  • Manage user information in Relias Learning; perform administrative duties as assigned
  • Monitor compliance hotline
  • Monitor active users in Relias on-line training system
  • Interact with affiliates around KDADS background checks, maintaining internal resources
  • Other contract compliance duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Six (6) months of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid Kansas driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance. Applicable knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access. Must submit to criminal, abuse/neglect registry background checks.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in the field of human services or a related field.
