We are urgently looking for a REMOTE Senior Test Automation Specialist with +5 years of test experience with complex web application platforms for an international organization in New York. Candidates must have hands‑on experience working with Angular, Node.js, MongoDB in teams building large consumer‑facing web applications from the ground up.
Candidates need to be fluent in English. All positions are long‑term. This position is open for freelancers and employees. Candidates need to be able to work +5 hours per day in the normal office hours of New York, US. (Example 9 AM NY time equals 7:30 PM.)
Tasks and deliverables:- Work within an agile team to ensure the quality of complex MEAN applications;
- Develop, modify, and execute functional test scripts and analyze bugs for systems in development;
- Work closely with developers to recognize the potential for any operational issues, assess risks, and resolve issues proactively;
- Create test automation frameworks from the ground up using Selenium Web Driver;
- Automate API testing using Postman and similar tools;
- Perform load testing using a variety of tools as per industry standards and suggest solutions for performance issues;
- Perform penetration testing and another security‑related testing as needed;
- Record defect details and create reports outlining the types of defects found and the steps taken to resolve them and update the regression test framework;
- Maintain knowledgebase documentation in SharePoint ;
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- +5 years of experience in Quality Assurance for complex web application platforms;
- Experience designing, developing, managing, and executing test cases, preferably using QA management tools;
- Proven experience with test automation using Selenium and the ability to write scripts and perform API testing;
- Experience with security testing, integration testing, end‑to‑end testing, and load testing;
