About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Remote Quality Assurance Engineer to join their distributed team, supporting operations across South Africa, including in the George area. This position focuses on ensuring the integrity and reliability of our manufacturing processes and products through rigorous testing and analysis. You will play a crucial role in identifying defects, developing test strategies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our quality management systems from the comfort of your home office.
This is an ideal opportunity for a QA professional who is proactive, autonomous, and passionate about delivering defect-free products in a remote setting.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing products.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and system issues using defect tracking software.
- Collaborate with development and production teams to understand product specifications and resolve quality issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and propose solutions for prevention.
- Maintain and update quality assurance documentation, including test procedures and reports.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide quality assurance input from a testing perspective.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance or software testing, preferably in a manufacturing context.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.
