Overview
Cedar Brook Property sponsored real estate investment company is seeking an exceptional candidate to join the team for the position of Senior Real Estate Transaction Specialist
. We are a national real estate investor who purchases homes for renovation and resale across markets nationwide, revitalizing existing residential property to provide affordable, renovated homes for new homeowners. The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $100,000 with an annual bonus. This role can be remote anywhere in the country.
- Monitor and coordinate all phases of the real estate transaction process, including offer acceptance, contract review, inspections, appraisals, title searches, closing documents, and coordination of funding.
- Provide oversight and management of transaction coordinator duties related to the purchasing and sales of residential real estate.
- Review and analyze real estate contracts and related documents.
- Ensure brokerage compliance and provide support for the transaction team.
- Use autonomy when negotiating real estate contracts.
- Manage calendars and track key contract dates.
- Oversee the transaction management process and input escrow data into the company’s accounting system.
- Ensure all transactions comply with local, state, and federal regulations and provide training for compliance reports.
- Act as the senior contact for all transaction‑related matters, supporting team members who serve as primary contacts within the Senior Transaction Specialists delegation.
- Serve as the liaison between stakeholders, ensuring accurate and effective problem‑solving of all escrow tracking and closing issues.
- Produce daily and weekly reporting to senior leadership.
- Review and process contract cancellations, amendments, and holdbacks.
- Work with acquisition managers during due diligence on potential real estate deals, including market analysis, property inspections, and financial assessments.
- Provide ongoing training and updates to the acquisitions team regarding emerging transaction‑level issues.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with real estate transactions.
- Ensure accuracy of post‑close accounting and project management software updates.
- Oversee sales coordinator communication with listing agents and weekly updates, collecting key listing data and making necessary updates to senior management.
- Manage and implement best practices for transaction management, driving process improvement for the transaction team.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
- 5+ years of residential real estate transaction experience required.
- Preference for experience with institutional Single Family Rental operators or property management firms focused on institutional Single Family Rental management.
- Extensive experience in reviewing real estate and mortgage documentation.
- Experience processing transactions on a nationwide level.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus but not required.
- Valid driver’s license (may require occasional driving).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions.
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
- Advanced level experience with Excel is recommended.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and other related software programs.
- Must possess a professional attitude to represent the company positively.
- Active real estate license is preferred.
