• Maintain and prepare research plots, including planting, maintaining, spraying, and harvesting
• Conduct crop scouting to evaluate weed control, insect infestations, and disease outbreaks
• Train and guide summer interns to achieve operational goals and maintain quality
• Assist the research manager with planning and organizing research site activities
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures in collaboration with the safety team

• Bachelor’s degree strongly desired; experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Up to 2 years of small plot or agricultural retail experience or relevant internship experience
• Must have or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL and Pesticide Applicators License within 60 days
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; valid driver’s license required

• Previous experience operating farm or research equipment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
• Experience in critical thinking and problem solving in a research setting
