- Maintain and prepare research plots, including planting, spraying, and harvesting
- Evaluate crop health through scouting and advising, consulting with agronomists on solutions
- Train and guide summer interns, developing workflows and task lists for operational goals
- Assist the research manager with planning and organizing research activities and site operations
- Ensure safety compliance by working with the safety team and tracking necessary documentation
- Bachelor’s degree strongly desired; experience in lieu of degree may be considered
- Up to 2 years of small plot or Ag retail experience or previous summer intern experience
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL and Pesticide Applicators License within the first 60 days of employment
- Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver’s license acceptable to company policy to operate company vehicles
- Previous experience operating farm or research equipment strongly desired
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
