AIP is seeking a full-time Research Analyst to assist in conducting social science studies of education and employment in the physical sciences. As the Research Analyst, you will play a critical role in the implementation of research studies. Bring your passion and connect with all corners of the physical sciences, engage with some of the most prominent researchers in the field, get an inside look at new discoveries and developments, and learn something new every day.
WHATYOU’LL DO
- Workaspartofateam conducting quantitative and qualitative researchofthescientificenterprise.
- Performanalysisusingstatistical software.
- Perform database management.
- Manage mailings.
- Assist with participant interviews/focus groups, transcript editing, and qualitative coding.
- Assistinquestionnairedevelopment,interpretation,andreportproduction.
- Bachelor's degree or higher insocial science, statistics, physics, or a related field required.
- Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics required.
- Experience with coding software for data analysis (R preferred), excellent computer skills, and excellent written communication skills are highly desired.
- Experience with social science research, including surveys, focus groups, and/or interviews is required.
- Must be very detail oriented, organized, and able to multitask. Project management skills and the ability to work independently.

COMPENSATION$64,952.00 - $71,447.00
WORKING AT AIPAIP embraces a flexible hybrid work environment to balance in-person collaborative work with remote work. The team works in a flexible, hybrid schedule and reports to our offices in College Park, Maryland and Washington, DC, as needed. Employees are required to reside in the DC Metro regions of Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC.
