• Plan and conduct safety research projects on safety impact and severity estimation
• Publish and present peer-reviewed safety research in leading journals and conferences
• Acquire and maintain safety-related data sources to enable research
• Support and lead internal safety assessments to set design and evaluation targets
• Develop internal safety assessment practices related to the Safety Framework and Safety Case

• Expertise in vehicle safety, safety impact assessment, or related fields
• Proven scientific writing experience with a history of peer-reviewed publications
• Strong scientific presentation skills, including experience presenting at conferences
• Quantitative analysis skills with the ability to perform statistical modeling and data analytics
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams for safety evaluation support

• Advanced research degree (Ph.D. or equivalent)
• Proficiency in quantitative analysis using programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL
• Research leadership experience, including grant writing and supervision
• International safety research perspectives, particularly from Europe or Japan
• Familiarity with vehicle automation technologies
