Data Analyst, Data Science Manager
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Analyst:
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights that will contribute to environmental and socio-economic transformations. Your work will support the Just Energy Transition (JET) initiatives by producing comprehensive reports that influence decision-making processes and enhance transparency within projects. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and availability while maintaining a focus on learning and improvement across various initiatives.

- Analyse data from the JET MEL data system to identify trends, performance gaps, and insights related to funding flows and project outcomes.
- Produce regular MEL reports and analytical briefs for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop reporting templates and data visualisations using tools like Power BI.
- Conduct gender disaggregated data analysis for GESI/GLI reporting.
- Support the maintenance of the JET IP MEL framework.
- Assist in refining performance indicators and data collection tools based on analytical insights.
- Prepare data packs and conduct preliminary analysis for evaluations.
- Ensure public-facing reports and dashboards are accurate and updated.
- Master’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics or Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning.
- Experience in climate finance or energy transition is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience managing MEL for donor-funded projects.
- Experience in designing and managing rigorous impact evaluations.
- Familiarity with GESI and GLI frameworks and their application in data systems.
- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, GIS, and advanced Excel skills.
