We are looking for an entry-level scientist to join product development support lab to assess the application quality of our products sold to customers. This position will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction by assessing microbial viability. This position will also include assisting with and contributing to new product development initiatives in alignment with organizational objectives.
This is a temporary, 8 week position located in our Hazelwood, MO site.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of lab procedures, including but not limited to, microbial compatibility and viability assays.
- Assist senior scientist in product development efforts and formulation process.
- Deliver routine and time-sensitive projects on time with required standards and documentation.
- Conduct high-throughput testing assays by leveraging automation and liquid handling equipment.
- Provide support for general lab operations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with microbial product testing and seed treatment with biologicals.
- Automation and high throughput experience preferred.
- BS in Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related field, preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to occasionally lift or team lift 20 - 50 lbs.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
All remote positions and those not located in our Berkeley facility are paid based on National Benchmark data. Following employment, growth beyond the hiring range is possible based on performance.
Hiring Compensation Range $23.55 — $23.55 USD
