SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, and within established policies and procedures, performs multi‑modality computer‑aided analysis research in medical imaging studies, developing and deploying advanced automatic analysis pipelines. This includes participation in ongoing funded projects and mentored research. This position is contingent upon grant‑funding.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Serving as the research associate for current medical imaging research projects, including but not limited to a study on automatic analysis of imaging‑based diagnosis.
- Assisting Principal Investigators in the department with grant‑writing.
- Assisting with manuscript writing and preparation as a co‑author.
- Pursuing independent research if desired and opportunities arise.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- A PhD degree (required upon start date) in computer science, pattern recognition, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience writing manuscripts; a strong publication record on machine learning, computer vision, and/or medical imaging is required (full‑length top journals and/or conference papers).
- Minimum 3 years of research experience in a related discipline.
- Experience managing research projects.
- Experience with grant writing is preferred.
- Experience coding in Python and MATLAB is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Opportunities for remote work can be considered. Sufficient visual acuity and manual dexterity to use computer keyboard and other common lab and office equipment are required.
INDEPENDENT ACTIONPerforms independently within department policies and practices. Refers specific complex problems to supervisor where clarification of departmental policies and procedures may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYAbility to train and work with volunteers and students on projects.
PAY RANGE$58,489.60 – $96,491.20
