Telix Pharmaceuticals is a fast‑growing radiopharmaceutical company dedicated to delivering precision medicine through targeted radiation. We are expanding our pipeline of late clinical‑stage products across oncology and rare diseases, and we need a Senior Scientist to lead the design, development, and execution of radiopharmaceutical programs.

Responsibilities
  • Scientific Leadership & Ownership
    • Serve as a technical lead for assigned projects or work streams, driving experimental strategy, execution, and interpretation with limited oversight.
    • Apply advanced scientific judgment to design, optimize, and troubleshoot complex radio chemical and analytical processes.
    • Identify scientific risks, propose mitigation strategies, and adapt approaches in response to experimental findings.
    • Independently design, execute, and document sophisticated experiments supporting radiopharmaceutical discovery and development.
    • Lead the synthesis and optimization of novel bifunctional chelators and radio labeled compounds.
    • Ensure experimental work is conducted efficiently, safely, and in alignment with project timelines and program goals.
  • Analytical Method Development
    • Develop, validate, and refine advanced radio analytical methods, including radio‑TLC and HPLC, to support characterization, release, and stability studies.
    • Evaluate and implement improvements to analytical approaches to increase robustness, sensitivity, and throughput.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Partner closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and cross‑disciplinary R&D teams to support program progression.
    • Provide scientific input to cross‑functional discussions, contributing to decision‑making at the project or sub‑program level.
  • Data Analysis, Reporting & Communication
    • Critically analyze complex datasets and translate findings into clear technical conclusions and recommendations.
    • Author and review technical reports, development summaries, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external collaborators.
    • Support documentation required for GxP, regulatory, or tech‑transfer activities, as applicable.
  • Laboratory & Operational Excellence
    • Ensure proper operation, calibration, and qualification of laboratory equipment.
    • Promote best practices in laboratory safety, radioactive material handling, and data integrity.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory and broader R&D organization.
    • Mentor and guide junior scientists, providing technical direction, feedback, and informal coaching.
    • Share expertise and lessons learned to elevate overall team capability and scientific rigor.
Qualifications and Experience
  • PhD + 5 years post‑doctoral OR MS + 6 years post‑doctoral OR BS + 8 years post‑doctoral or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with radioactive materials in an R&D and/or GMP‑adjacent environment.
  • Proven track record of independent scientific contribution and problem‑solving.
Technical Expertise
  • Advanced proficiency in synthetic organic chemistry and radiochemistry.
  • Strong experience developing and applying radio analytical methods (e.g., radio‑TLC, HPLC).
  • Expertise in statistical experimental design, data interpretation, and structured problem solving (e.g., Six Sigma methodologies).
Professional Capabilities
  • Experience leading project‑level or workstream‑level scientific initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex technical concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and operate effectively in a matrixed, fast‑paced environment.
