RESEARCH ASSISTANT 2, School of Medicine, Slone Epidemiology Center
The Slone Epidemiology Center, a multidisciplinary research organization, is seeking a Research Assistant to join the staff of the Black Women's Health Study, now in its 29th year ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).). This position will assist with a new 5-year epidemiologic project that is focused on identifying factors that influence the risk of Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias in Black women.
Responsibilities- Assist the project manager with project start-up.
- Recruit participants.
- Schedule and conduct cognitive interviews.
- Process and perform quality control of data collected during cognitive interviews.
- Assist with participant engagement and retention.
- Complete administrative tasks and maintain study documentation.
- Assist with reporting to the research team.
- Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of experience in a research environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable being recorded during telephone interviews.
- Telephone interview experience and/or interest and/or research experience in cognitive health preferred.
- Experience with data collection.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Reliable high‑quality internet and a quiet, private area for remote work.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
Research assistants will be trained and complete annual certification to administer telephone cognitive assessment battery.
Salary range: $17.50 – $28.03 per hour (Grade 44). Final salary will be set based on departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
